“Greetings to the SayPro family, our partners, and the youth of South Africa,

On this Freedom Day 2025, we reflect not just on the remarkable journey that brought us here, but on the future we are building together — a future where freedom is a lived experience, not just a historic milestone.

In 1994, our country broke free from the chains of apartheid, and the doors to equality, democracy, and opportunity were opened to all. But true freedom goes beyond political or social change. True freedom is about access to opportunity. It’s about empowerment. It’s about growth.

As the Chancellor Officer of SayPro, I view my role as guiding this powerful movement forward — ensuring that SayPro is not just a symbol of progress but a pathway to transformation. We are here to create space for youth leadership, to build capacity, and to ensure that every young South African has the tools they need to shape their future.

But what does this mean in practical terms?

For us, freedom means providing:

• Access to education and opportunities for continuous learning,
• Mentorship and leadership development for youth to step into their full potential,
• Programs and initiatives that equip young people with the skills to thrive in the modern workforce,
• And a network of support to break down barriers and unlock new possibilities.

As we stand here today, it is important to remember that freedom isn’t something given; it’s something earned and protected through continuous effort, commitment, and vision.

We are not simply remembering history today — we are shaping history. And each of you, as part of the SayPro community, is helping to create the world we wish to see.

To the youth of South Africa:

You are the architects of tomorrow.
The education, opportunities, and experiences you have today will help define the future for generations to come. We are here to help you rise, to help you lead, and to ensure that you are never held back by barriers — real or imagined.

And to our partners:
Thank you for standing with us and for investing in youth development. Together, we are shaping a future that is open, inclusive, and built on the foundation of true freedom.

On this Freedom Day, let’s commit to leading with integrity, with vision, and with the belief that our greatest freedom is the power we have to make a positive difference.
