Distinguished guests, SayPro partners, members of the Royal Committee, colleagues, advocates, and friends,
Good morning, good afternoon, and good evening—wherever you are joining us from today.
It is both an honour and a privilege to address you on behalf of the SayPro Royal Committee as we commemorate a powerful and important occasion: Global Accessibility Awareness Day 2025.
At SayPro, we believe in empowerment, inclusion, and transformation. Today, we are not just acknowledging accessibility—we are celebrating the right of every person to participate fully and equally in every aspect of life, regardless of ability.
Let us be clear: Accessibility is not a luxury. It is not a bonus.
It is a right. It is a responsibility. It is a call to action.
This year’s theme, “Designing for Dignity,” speaks directly to our hearts and values at SayPro. Because true accessibility isn’t just about technical standards or policy checklists—it’s about compassion, dignity, and justice. It’s about removing barriers, whether physical, digital, social, or systemic, so that every person can thrive.
As the Deputy Royal Committee Treasurer, I am proud to share that SayPro continues to invest in bold, inclusive initiatives—from funding accessible infrastructure and advancing assistive technologies, to supporting grassroots education campaigns and innovation hubs across Africa and beyond.
Through our inclusive youth training programs, digital skills development, and strategic partnerships, we are helping shape a world where accessibility is embedded, not added on—where no one is left behind.
But let us not be complacent. For every individual who cannot access a website, enter a building, apply for a job, or attend a class—we are reminded that the work is not done.
Today, I challenge each of us:
Let this GAAD not be a single day of recognition—but a lasting commitment to change.
To all persons with disabilities: We see you. We hear you. We stand with you.
You are not merely recipients of support—you are drivers of progress, innovation, and leadership.
And to all our partners—governments, NGOs, businesses, communities—
We invite you to walk this path with us.
Invest with us. Design with us. Build with us. Lead with us.
Because accessibility is not a favour—it is freedom. It is dignity. It is justice.

Let’s continue building a future where every voice counts, every talent shines, and every person belongs.
